Rosie had her calf!!! Yesterday evening Rose did wonderful and gave birth to her first calf, a beautiful little heifer (girl). We are all delighted🌻
First-time cow mamas can sometimes be a bit challenging from the birthing aspect and also with feedings. It’s also sometimes a concern whether the first-time cow mama will even take care of the calf.
Well I truly believe Rosie learned from all the incredible cows we have on our farm because I am so pleased to report she has bonded with her calf amazingly! Feedings don’t seem to be an issue for this clever girl either! The sweet little ‘coo’ noises Rose makes to her calf let us know she is already a fantastic cow mama❤️
Rose, her calf and a few others will be staying up front in the barn area for a few weeks so we can keep a close eye on everyone. If anyone wants to come visit this cute and curious calf just let me know!!🥰
