We are welcoming October to the farm by putting our soup and marrow bones on sale! Homemade soup and stocks are such a versatile and easy option for meals. Great for having in the freezer incase your family has a rough week when everyone comes down with a cold.
I think our family favourite soup is my wonton soup. The broth is just our beef soup bones stock (big batches and frozen) + miso paste + grated ginger + splash of soya sauce and sesame oil. The homemade wontons are the best! I make a whole batch, freeze them on a baking tray and store them in a freezer bag to grab as many or few as we need for that particular meal. The wonton wrappers are just from the grocery store and the mixture is 1 pound of our ground beef + chopped green onions + splash of soya sauce and sesame oil + tablespoon of cornstarch. The wontons cook in the boiling broth in about 9 minutes from frozen. Done!
Jack and Shawn LOVE this soup and ask for it a lot!! We hope your family enjoys it as much as we do. Have a wonderful weekend!!
