There is something almost magical here in the misty early morning out in the pasture with the cows. It’s peaceful, except for the occasional cow calling to her calf to come eat breakfast.
Now that we’ve made it fully around the farm with our rotational grazing system, the late summer/early fall paddocks tend to be bigger on our second pass. This suits the cows fine since the calves are bigger, stronger and more independent and the cows seem to prefer to spread out.
