We went on a little adventure to the back pasture late this afternoon, thankfully we got back before this rain storm hit! We moved the main herd this afternoon from just behind our house in the millet grass to the back pasture. We wanted to check on the water trough and make sure everyone had settled in after the move.
One of our favourite calves always comes to visit. She is almost 3 months old now and although most of the time she still gets called “Trouble” (she is pretty naughty) we also have decided “Tracey” is a great big girl name for her too. She is very affectionate, loves her rubs, and is very photogenic. She has a big personality and perhaps has boss-cow status in her future.
The cows were all happy and so we headed home in time for Ian to bbq in the pouring rain
