How do farm kids and dogs beat the July heat?!? By cooling off in the water trough of course!!! 
Last weekend we spent Sunday morning moving, cleaning and re-filling a water trough for the cows at the back. What started as a drink for the doggies and dipping hats for the boys quickly turned into kids AND dogs all enjoying dips in the fresh cold water. We all had a good laugh and a wet ride back to the barn.
I wonder what the cows thought of our silliness?!?
