Sometimes the cows can be a bit of a hinderance to getting things done. This morning we were trying to get the tractor and haybine to the back field to start cutting hay, but first we had to cross where the mama cows are currently grazing.
Of course all the cows showed up right where we were trying to get across! We ended up having to sacrifice a bit of a field we intend to cut in a few weeks and turn into baleage for winter feed. I guess we had to pay the cows’ toll fee.
I imagine the cows will be on the look-out this afternoon to collect on the return trip since we will need to come back through that fenced area!
