New arrivals on the farm this afternoon. We picked up our first round of day-old chicks today.
We have them setup in our mobile starter coop in the barn where they will spend the next few weeks until their feathers grow. Then we will move them outside into the pasture in our chicken-tractor where we can move them onto fresh grass twice a day.
First order of business was dipping each of their beaks into water to teach them to drink which is especially important on such a warm day! Cheep-cheep little ones, welcome to the farm!!
