Gates should not look like this….but thanks to Rodney one of ours does!! 
We had all our cows checked to see if they were pregnant by the vet a few days ago. All the cows we were hoping to be pregnant are indeed and will be expecting calves born in the spring. We also had a few cows that were pregnant we had not intended….which made me think of this picture of the gate and the day in late August when Rodney jumped this gate not once….not twice….but THREE times to get to a few cows we did NOT want him to breed. It’s not that big of a deal but it means we have to switch up our plans, which is basically the way farming always seems to go!
Rodney is our 3-year old bull. He was born on our farm in 2020 to Rhonda and has been gentle since the day he was born. I found some old photos of Rodney & my boys. Hard to believe how much all 3 of them have grown in the last few years
